С красноречием, действительно, тут неплохо, а вот "приговор" явно выходит за пределы юрисдикции его автора.

I did not write this post, nor did I pass the judgment, nor am I going to appeal it. I simply deny its standing. So my doubts or my hopes or my objections would not be of use or relevance.

Four years ago, on the authority of a single amora and against the view of all other Sages who discussed the matter (Sanh. 110a), you passed a "midrashic judgement" - despite that the quoted expression is a non sequitur of itself. If that was not arrogance, what is? I don't know your age and so I hope that was/this is a youthful arrogance, which is excusable, since it normally passes, after serving its purpose.

Both the sides in the Sh'lah controversy disliked nephilim, since their arrogance was not in the name of Heaven and thus could not lead anywhere. So I dislike them too.

Как я уже сказал: народ .. не базировал веру на ... авторитете, но на собственном индивидуальном опыте. Как и дОлжно быть. Если хотите Рамбама: on authority of reason. Если хотите Раши: от первого лица. Если хотите brotherinlaw: согласно Диалогу.

That reference says: "we cannot tell it from choices whose potential validity is suggested by something else." But you evidently don't care. So the authority of reason, or God Himself, revealed for you (and, incidentally, for that Amora) the truth which the bulk of tradition unambiguously rejects. How boring. So long.
