This is the interpretation I favor but I wonder why you find it compatible at all with r. Yaakov's. Speaking simply, His water is bad ("a shattered world fraught with boundaries and contradiction", with emphasis on "two waters") while his stones of marble are good (oneness, eternal life etc.)
